Deep in the Canones canyon, close to an old Hispanic village, sits a one bedroom, one shower bath cabin with a peaceful porch and inspiring views.

There are unique prehistoric Indian ruins on top of a nearby mesa. The tranquil canyon leads to one of America’s largest preserves, the Santa Fe National Forest. Following the Canones Creek upstream you can enter a mountainous wilderness stretching from Cuba to Los Alamos with the magnificent Valle Grande in between.

In driving out of this canyon there are awe inspiring views of the Abiquiu Lake, the Piedra Lumbre, and the oft painted Cerro Pedernal.
