(continued) A wealth of outdoor activities is available
to you while staying in this splendid home, many without ever
getting into your car. If you are looking to relax, the property
includes a grassy bank along El Rito Creek next to a swimming
hole, an ideal place to sunbathe and unwind. Hiking into the National
Forest starts 100 yards from the driveway or right out the door
and up into the hills. You love to fish? Go trout fishing in the
Rio Chama or Abiquiu Lake, or up in the mountain lakes of the
nearby high country. You love mountain biking? Start from the
house. Downhill skiing? The ski resorts in Taos, Santa Fe, and
Los Alamos are not far. All the splendor of northern New Mexico
is within easy reach.
A great many interesting towns, villages,
Indian pueblos, museums and galleries, restaurants and local events
lie within visiting range while staying in our home. In El Rito
you should consider tasting the best chili verde in New Mexico
at El Farolito restaurant (the famous and only restaurant in town),
you should visit Martin’s General Store, serving El Rito
since the early 1900’s, visit the San Juan Nepomuceno church,
completed in 1832, or visit the El Rito Public Library.
